Merry Christmas

Some fresh picked holly and pine branches from the backyard, breakfast casseroles baking in the oven, carols playing on the radio ... all are a prelude to a day of celebration.

A celebration of the gifts we have already received through this year. A celebration of family. A celebration of the greatest gift anyone could ever accept - the gift of Jesus.

Merry Christmas!

Breakfast Casserole

1 lb. sausage
1 pkg. cream cheese
2 pkg. crescent rolls
3 large eggs, beaten
3 c. shredded cheese (reserve a little for topping)
1 onion, chopped

Brown sausage and drain. Mix sausage, cream cheese, eggs, onion and shredded cheese. Spread 1 pkg. of crescent rolls in bottom of baking dish. Spread sausage mixture over rolls. Sprinkle with more shredded cheese and cover with other package of crescent rolls. Bake at 350 for about 25 min. or until crescent rolls are golden brown.

French Toast Casserole

Grease 9x13 baking dish. Combine 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. butter and 2 t. light corn syrup and bring to boil. Pour into baking dish. Layer 1/4 inch slices of one loaf French bread on top of syrup mixture. Beat 6 eggs, 2 c. milk and 1/2 t. vanilla. Pour on top of bread. Refrigerate overnight. Bake in the morning at 350 for 30 min.
